Literature Text
You will never know how I envy you, Morpheus
For you are the only being that can understand what this beautiful sleeper thinks of
As she lays on that white sea, eyes shut to the world.
What I wouldn't give to be at peace with her in her realm of dreams
To see her smile oft hidden in her waking life
Under her armour as impenetrable as it is invisible.
Answer me, O beautiful dreamer
Is the world so cruel that you cannot confide in me
The secrets of your timorous heart?
Perhaps one day, I will be worthy of your consideration
And you will know me for real
Until then, your somnolent smile will suffice.

Tragedies are never as beautiful
you were the shipwreck
that was discovered a bit too late to be saved
but still soon enough to
take you out of the cold waters,
to look past the rust and cracks
and savor what was and could have been.
tragedy had knocked on your doors
and taken him away
because he just wanted closure,
for his brother, his family andhimself
you would think time, pain and loss would have hardened him.
he was more good than you remembered.
"Choking down sea water was easier
than to breathe in fresh air",was your reply
when he asked why you were so bitter
even when your breath did not contain the taste of liquor
and your acerbic smile was almost welcoming.

it's very beautiful over there
it's very beautiful over there you'll see—
flicker of gold;our rising sea
blanket softer gently green
sun's arms hold me near
in a bed of blue flowers—
cradled fattened breasts bare.
Literature
wake up slow
The Universe and I
are in love.
She led me
to the lavender clouds
outside my window,
and in her palms,
they blossomed
like morning glories.
She poured me
a cup of coffee and
showed me how the
cream creates a supernova
until the teaspoon turns
and everything settles
into an even tan.
She showed me
the people beside us
and said, for just a moment,
we were a part of their lives
as we all sat at the red light,
headlights burning
a hole in the fog.
I can never stop
writing poems for her.

Hello everyone,
As promised, here is the English translation of my first poem written in French. The original poem was a piece inspired by an illustration that I saw in one of my groups
A note on translation:
The word sleeper and dreamer in the poem is a translation of dormeuse and songeuse which specifically denote a female (as opposed to the masculine dormeur and songeur).
I understand that the majority of my watchers do not speak French, at least not fluently, so I sincerely hope my translation does not fall short.
