It Sucks to be MeI just managed to clear the fence, hearing the last bark of the neighbour's dog dying down.
"Ooh, that stupid mutt!" I muttered, walking over to Mike who breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Whew, I really thought he had you there," he said "I guess...this means we have to take the long way home?"
"Yeah, sure, let's go," I shouldered my bag and was about to leave when I heard Mike letting out a snort. I looked at him and noticed that his face was twisted into a mirthful grimace, his hand over his mouth.
"What? What's so funny?" I demanded.
"Uh, Wyatt?" he began.
"Do you have your books?" he asked.
"Yeah, right here," I said, patting the straps of my knapsack.
"Do you have that girl's phone number?"
"Yeah, it's in my pocket," I answered, turning around to walk back home when his next question ruined my day.
"Where's your pocket?"
"What do you mean, where's my pocket, its right..." my voice trailed off as I patted my bare leg. Oh, you have got to be kidding me! I thought.

"Huh? What do you mean?" asked Sora, bewildered.
"Meaning, there are a few things that they left out of the history books, that they should have taken into consideration," Roxas replied, tossing aside the ice-cream stick "Like what really happened at the Rising Falls."
Sora's curiosity was aroused. What could he mean?
"First of all, the Nobodies are people without hearts. We were the result of a series of experiments carried out by King Ansem who tried to scientifically examine the secrets of the heart. In the process, he managed to bring us to life. Even with all his science, he still couldn't make us whole. He couldn't give us hearts."
"Maybe he was ashamed of us, or maybe he just didn't care. But whatever the reason was, King Ansem stopped trying to make us complete and wouldn't tell anyone about us. So it was our leader Xemnas who tried to succeed where Ansem stopped trying. He tried to make us as human as we could be. But he knew he couldn't make us have hearts, so he did the next
Over the RainbowDenzel stirred slightly in his sleep before he opened his eyes and sat up on his hard cot. He pushed away his rough blanket and rubbed his eyes, which were still tired and red from the night before. He only got to sleep that night because he spent all his energy crying out all of his pent-up sadness. The sadness that he tried hard to hide from the other orphans at the Shin-Ra orphanage, who had been bullying him ever since his mother died and he was sent to live in one of the most desolate places on the planet. He missed her terribly, and the carers at the group home were no substitute; it went without saying but the kids were no alternative to real brothers or sisters.
He quietly slipped out of the cramped and dark supply closet under the stairs that had been refurbished into a small room for what the carers called "the bad kids room", and padded towards the door that led outside. His hands tightly gripped the doorknob as he gingerly opened the door, worried that the slightest squeak

When the school gates finally opened, crowds of keyed up teens stormed out into the snow, animated at last by the prospect of being free for the winter holidays. Nothing could stop them from building snowmen, rolling snowballs down the hill to watch them grow, and laying down to make snow angels. Not to mention having massive snowball fights. Before long, hordes of students were forming groups, pelting each other with snowballs, and the park near the school was filled with howls of delight. They were going to be there till the cows came home, possibly even longer.
But for Cloud Strife, he was happy for a different reason. Christmas was only two days away, which was plenty of time for him to get that sculpture he saw in Barrett Wallace's pottery shop. It was an intricate clay sculpture of an angel, with her hands clasped in front of her chest and her wings spread out from behind her. He had his eye on it for quite some time, since he knew exactly who to give it to.

Sora hesitated one last time before he took Roxas' hand and stepped with him into the black hole. Moments later, he saw before him the tops of buildings in a strange town where the sun seemed to be constantly setting. He took a step forward and gasped as he realised he was standing on the ledge of a high edifice. He flailed his arms as he almost fell from the ledge, only to have a gloved hand grab his arm and pull him back.
"Whoa, careful there. It's OK, I got you." Roxas said as his counterpart regained his balance.
"What is this place? And where exactly are we? I've never been here before," Sora asked.
"We are on the top of a clock tower, in my hometown, Twilight Town," he answered.
"I used to go here all the time during the summer with my friends. Before they disappeared."
"Disappeared? The way my friends did?"
"Yeah. My friends and family were taken away by the Heartless; thanks to the man in the red bandages."
Roxas pulled out two blue ice cream bars and offered one to Sora. Sora
